Wild About Kruger is an app we developed in conjunction with Lee Gutteridge and Wild about Info APPS and it offers in-depth cover on the Kruger National Park with sections on terrain, accommodation, get out points; and many wildlife functions including identification of mammals, birds, reptiles, frogs and insects – with both visual and audio media. Trees and flowers are broken down into easy to identify groups and there is also a detailed section on tracking from your car – giving tips and clues to recognizing and interpreting signs in the bush.
Wild Africa Publications is our digital publication label and Birding Zimbabwe is the first in a series of books specifically designed for tablets – both iPad and Android.
The next project in the pipeline is a series of southern Africa wildlife education guides – aimed at the layman and packed with facts, photos and sounds. The first title on the drawing board is ‘all about…Primates’.
SOUNDSCAPES
Derek Solomon has been an avid nature sound recorder for many years and has produced many CDs of night sounds, dawn to dusk sound safaris recorded in South Luangwa National Park and Mashatu Game Reserve.
